well i dont know to much about the mountain, but what i do know is it is a a sleeping mountain unactive volcanoe. Believe to erupted before any settlers came to washington. If mt. rainer was to erupt i'm a gonner cause when the mountain erupts all the ice will melt cause mud flow there a term that decribes it, but i'm not sure of it exact spelling it something like lahar. So anyone living along river and valley located near mt. rainer will either be wipe out or serious damage. It be like mt. st. helens but unknown of how bad eruption of mt. rainer will be or if it will erupt in our life time. I hope this information is helpful in anyway.
